We are all different in many ways – in the materials we choose, the techniques we use and the ideas we want to express. We are all similar in our need to make the best of these.
We are, I think, complementary and certainly get on well together.
The event was part of Norfolk Open Studios 2015, a movement that has been really significant in my development as an artist.

I had as much trouble naming this piece as I did making it, wrestling with the steel's determination to twist. Sheet steel does have a mind of its own.
It is designed to be unbending and to reflect the world around it.
This is cold-formed from mild steel, then powder-coated in a reflective steel-like polyester. It was the second in my Tangerine Peel Series, after Silver Peel. It now has a mate with whom it sits near a pool in Norwich.
